The KLazyS RR Page
Our Motto "If It's Small and Doesn't Need to Go Anywhere, WE'LL SHIP IT!"
(almost like some prototype railroads)
The geography of the KLazyS RR could be mistaken for Eastern Washington state (well if you have bad eye sight, an over active imagination and have no idea what Eastern Wash. looks like). A cynical observer might suggest that it looks like Eastern Washington only because it is flat and barren.
3D overview of our right-of-way
One more very peculiar thing about the KLazyS RR relative to other Eastern Washington railroad lines, we have tunnels! While no railroader in their right mind would rather tunnel the basalt bluffs than just add a few more miles of level track, well the KLazyS RR did (see the rear of the Original Division above). {secret planning dept. changes}
The "Original Division" is just that, the part of the right-of-way that is original before the great post millennium expansion.
The "Connecting Division" is just that, the part that connects the Original and Yard Divisions.
The "Yard Division" is where all the "real railroad work" gets done. (yea sure).
The KLazyS RR is forced to share its right of way with of all things a 1:1 scale car! This terrible situation has resulted in the KLazyS RR being (planned) constructed in 3 divisions (modules). The division boundaries were dictated by the unique geology on which the KLazyS RR was built, several miniature tectonic plates! Most amazing the plates periodically tilt up to completely vertical positions.
The KLazyS RR got its start several decades ago in Washington state when its CEO was just a young man. It was a much more modest RR until the management discovered eBay and was able to buy up track from other proud old railroads that were selling their track. One of the key features of the KLazyS RR (besides its great motto) is that its trackage is entirely Lionel Super "O".
NEW LOGO UNVEILED!!
Like any modern company (in the railroad business) the KLazyS RR has been very hard at work; not laying track or moving freight but working on its logo!
And you can bet that this proud logo will be seen for many years (or until management has too much time on their hands).
2D Map of KLazyS RR Trackage.
The right-of-way planning office makes extensive use of CADRAIL in their work.
The operation of this great (or at least near great) railroad depends on the Lionel Trainmaster Control System (and lots of wire). But due to the KLazyS RR's work rules almost all of the road's turnouts are manually operated (Super "O" #142's). But automation has stuck its nose into the tent in the form of several remote/automatic turnouts (Super "O" #112's) which permit trains to loop around the pike tracing an infinity symbol (alternate motto "Your cargo may never arrive, but it will be well travelled!").
One more interesting feature of the geology under the KLazyS RR are the micro tectonic plates (shaded "scenic opportunities" areas on the map) that periodically separate from the main plates on which the divisions are built. These micro plates appearing, disappearing and reappearing with a totally different scene would total unnerve most seasoned railroaders but not the brave folk who run the KLazyS RR.

KLazyS RR Motive Power
The motive power of the KLazyS RR has been purchase from many road names. Which they still bare because even though we have a great motto and fabulous logo our plant shop is a little dextairatity challenged (beside you never know when the UP will want to merge with us, and the engines would have to just be repainted). One thing for sure the CEO likes steam engines, so we still use steam engines in our "normal" operations. Not just steam engines but honest to goodness coal burning steamers (just ignore that little third rail, the sparks, the ozone and that ZW in the corner).

KLazyS RR Rolling Stock
The collection of rolling stock on the KLazyS RR might be called eclectic by some, but it makes perfect sense to the management. There is a good sampling of (defunct) road names that could be seen in the Pacific Northwest (in particular Eastern Washington) decades ago, plus lots of other "great deal" cars.
We have lots and are buying more all the time! (do bad you can't see them).
Please note: The AUDITOR has just located a large rolling stock storage area keep secret from the KLazyS RR shareholders (click here for photos), management sure has some explaining to do!

The Maintance Of Way Department
"These guys get all the good stuff" is heard from the other departments (none of which even have a name) around the KLazyS RR. But given that the KLazyS RR has made every effort to maximize that amount of track that is laid on our right of way it's not surprising that the M.O.W. dept. is so favored (besides it's not like this railroad will ever generate any revenue).
