Invisible Bra after 30,000 miles,

2 Winters (with many trips to Tahoe)

The following images attempt to show the small nicks (might have been paint chips) that have appeared in the 3M film applied to our 1999 ML320 after 2 winters with 15 trips from the San Fransisco Bay Area to the Lake Tahoe area on I-80 (which CALTRANS sands heavily to make is a bit safer for the many many idiot drivers that are totally clueless about winter driving), plus a 5,300 mile trip to Iowa. Please be aware that our previous "snow country" vehicle looked sandblasted after 6 winters of similar trips.

A close up of the same area. (note: that the unprotected area has not suffered too many paint chips)

In all fairness, it took several attempts and a dirty truck to capture these images. In other words, most of the time the "damage" to the film is not nearly as visible as these images show. And guess what, we could remove the film tomorrow and all these "chips" would disappear!
